History

An "Affair of the Heart, Inc." began as a dream of eight Oklahoma women who were frequent exhibitors in arts and crafts shows. They had discussed what was good and what could have been better about each show.

After much thought and prayerful consideration, they decided to create their own show. It would be so special and unique that it would attract artisans, craftsman and craft lovers from near and far across the land!

The first show in February 1985 in Oklahoma City featured 65 exhibitors. There were 850 enthusiastic people in attendance. Each year the numbers continued to grow. Exhibitors in ever increasing numbers gathered to display their unique offerings. Thousands of excited visitors come to browse, shop and take home their special discoveries from an outstanding array of quality fine arts, crafts, antiques, collectibles, and gift items.

In 1991 the show expanded 3 days and began to occupy 7 buildings at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds, housing 1,000 booths. It is 3 fun filled days of shopping, walking, and eating.

Exhibitors for the show come from a 40 state area to sell their merchandise. The "Affair" has been named several times "Best of 200" by the Sunshine Artist Magazine, a national craft trade publication. The co-founders believe their commitment of the business to God is the foundation of the shows success

The excitement of "An Affair of the Heart" is contagious! Smiles, laughter, and "happy chatter" abound as visitors to the show find an incredible array of treasures and gift items. There is just so much of what you want and what you love, all at one event.
